Longer than a standard Twin bed, the Twin extra long size is known as "Twin XL". This is the most common size bedding in college dorm rooms. The difference between the two Twin sizes is the length, the Twin XL bed has dimensions of 39 x 80 inches. When buying bedding for a XL Twin bed make sure you get the right dimensions. The length of XL fitted sheets are 80 inches, and the length of XL comforters are 92 inches.
